I had a family and friends baby shower March 30. Wow, that was a month ago. I am so behind. It was such a blessing. Lots of goodies and fun.

I am 38 plus weeks pregnant. Wow. I had another ultrasound on Tuesday and he's head down, yay! Approx. 7 lbs, but no other progress. And that's fine by me. I would like you all to pray that I won't go until at least May 19th. I know, what sort of crazy women is this that wants to go a week past her due date?!? Frankly, I would love the extra time to get ready. Also, the later I go, the later in August I have to go back to work. More summer off. But the biggest reason is the most selfish because really all my reasons are selfish. Our hospital will be moved into the brand spanking new birthing center on May 19th and I really, really, really want to deliver there instead of the old wing. I know, I know, I have no control, but I can still pray and think on the fact that both Tom and I were 10 days late.

This was a fantastic episode!!! Michael Emerson is amazing as Ben. Great plot happenings. There should always be a writer's strike so they have to pack 8 episodes into 5. Things happen a lot faster.



Ah, Ben magically in the Tunisian desert, hmm, like the polar bear. And in a Dharma jacket that's probably from the Orchid Station with Dr. Halliwax's name on it. (You know, one of the alias' of the guy in the Dharma videos). Time and space travel, fun. And then he of course pulls some Sayid like moves on the two guys that find him.
I actually felt sorry for the creep when the frieghties killed his daughter, but that went away when I saw his smirk after Sayid killed the guy that killed Nadia. I think he lied to Sayid to get him on board with his plans, but that's just me.



Oh, poor red shirts getting killed....



Ah, the secret room inside the secret room, Who knew? Apparently the hyroglyphics translate to something like "to summon time" or Smokey, I guess...



I love that the smoke monster took out the freighties. Fun stuff. And that Locke, Hurley, and Sawyer were all playing Risk and Sawyer threatened Locke and Ben to "not touch one curly hair" on Hurley's head. Awww...

Although according to this commercial, I, being pregnant, am not capable of perspective. This lifts my spirits because if I am in labor on a Thursday night at 9pm, the nurses better let me watch my Lost!!!!

Not one of the best but still mildly interesting. At least there was a bit of a cliffhanger at the end until we get our next episode April 24th.



Michael is tormented off the island just like Jack, hmm, and tries to committ suicide but the island won't let him apparently and in the hospital he has a vision of Libby. He for some unkown reason told Walt what he did, suffice it to say Walt's a little unhappy and won't talk to him.



On his second attempt, Mr. Friendly finds him, we understand now why Kate "wasn't his type" and he shows Michael how Mr. Widmore planted the fake 815 and convinces him to redeem himself by getting on the frieghter. So was it Ben or Widmore with the faking?



He gets the courage to set off a bomb on the freighter, has another vision of Libby, and... of course the bomb gives him a little note, "Not Yet." Sort of silly really. After relaying all of this to Sayid and Desmond, Sayid rats him out to the Captian who doesn't really seem that concerned... odd.



Meanwhile, on the island Ben spills the beans about Michael and asks Alex to go to the Temple where the other Others are. Fun to say... other Others.



At the end, Karl get suspicious of their little jaunt in the jungle and then gets shot, along with Danielle... and Alex bargians with the mystery shooter revealing she's Ben's daughter. Somehow I don't think the Freighties are the ones doing the shooting and I sure hope Danielle is just wounded. She's too interesting of a character.

Jin and Sun's episode threw me for another loop a flashforward with a flashback, did not see that coming.


Sun is the last of the oceanic six, apparently Aaron is one of them then. We see her have her little girl Ji Yeon, the name Jin wanted. She calls out for him during her labor.



In Jin's flashback, we see him desperately trying to obtain a panda and of course I thought he was trying to get to the hospital for Sun, but in reality he was trying to deliver the panda to an ambassador and his new grandson for Sun's father, Mr. Paik.



So we learn that Jin has died apparently when Hurley comes to see Sun and the baby and they visit his grave. According to his tombstone he died the date of the crash so we don't know when he actually dies or maybe he's back on the island still, but I doubt it given Sun's reaction.



Finally, Michael is revealed as Ben's guy on the boat. Did you have any doubts really?



I also like this random pic of an axe embedded in the side of the boat. What's that about?

Apparently, Juliet looks like someone from Ben's past, perhaps the woman in this painting in Ben's house. Give one up for Michael Emerson. His creepiness factor just went up if that's possible. Some interesting flashbacks with the others, nothing too shocking.



Locke idiotically believes Ben and lets him free after watching a tape of the guy controlling the frieghter, Charles Widmore. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Does anyone else think Ben's man in the tape looks kind of like Desmond? Plus, Ben had the best line of the episode when Locke serves him rabbit and he asked if it had a number on the side of it. Hee hee.



Charlotte and Daniel find The Tempest power station and after a lovely cat fight we find out they were telling the truth about making the gas that Ben used in the Dharma purge inert. I love that this console in The Tempest says Box Maker. Perhaps it is Locke's special console. As you may recall he used to work at a company that "made boxes." (which Hurley owns oddly).

Anyway, I am still convinced that Sun and Jin are the other two and since it's one of their episodes next week... Also, I totally think Michael is Ben's man on the freighter but we'll see.

Desmond episodes are so cool. Time travel, psychic abilities, he's got the best character oddities going on. Nothing too shocking here, just a good story about Penny and Desmond and more weird quirks of the island.

When Desmond finds Penny's dad, Charles Widmore, he has just bought the diary of someone on The Black Rock, aka the dynamite giving ship on the island, written by someone by the name of Hanso. The Hanso foundation plays a big part in the Lost mythology.



I also love Daniel Faraday's character. It was so fun to see Desmond try to convince him and then poor Eloise had to die. So sad...

Kate's a mom and her son is Aaron!!! That shocked the crap out of me. My first thought was that she stole Aaron from the island and Claire is still alive, but I suppose it's possible that Claire's dead. So does he count as one of the Oceanic 6? Technically, he was in utero at the time. Also, only 8 survived the crash, what's that about Jack? And what was up with the memory card game Daniel and Charlotte were playing. No real easter eggs here. Although, apparently Dharma gets its dishes from Walmart. "Mainstays" as seen on the bottom of the mug is a Walmart brand.

So far I have predicted the Oceanic Six correctly. My guess besides Kate and Jack from last season were Hurley, Sayid, Jin, and Sun. We'll see if the last two are correct. I loved the island mythology in this episode. What is up with the time difference thing?




And Sayid is killing for BEN!!! off the island. What?!

Another great episode. I am glad they did all the back stories on the newbies in one episode, I think it worked well.

Here's the polar bear collar that Charlotte found in Tunisia. The producers suggest that he got to the desert the same way that crazy bunny with the 8 on it cloned itself in the Orchid station video which I posted here. The character Charlotte Staples Lewis is an homage to C. S. Lewis, creator of Narnia. Cool, huh.



Also, you notice in this screen capture from the very first episode that the pilot does in fact have his wedding ring on. So what in the world are they showing on the news with the wreckage footage and dead pilot and such. Interesting...

I loved the Lost premeire!!! So much fun. I read somewhere that the deadline for Disney/ABC to be able to possibly finish the season is for the writer's strike to end before Feb. 15th. Here's hoping. I want more than 8 episodes, darn it. The season is only suppose to be 16 anyway.

When Hurley has the vision in the police station of Charlie swimming, his hand has the message, "They Need You."



Look who's hanging out in Jacob's magical moving cabin, why it's Christian Shephard, our favorite alcoholic father. Maybe the island brought him back to life and that's why Jack kept talking about his dad like he was alive in last season's flash forward. That always confused me.

I really wanted to do a big update, but it's late and I'm tired, and I just put up like 6 posts on my Movie Mania blog.

Hmm, I last left you after we bought our new car. We had a family Christmas that weekend where I managed to make Tom's cousin cry because he couldn't go bowling at the bowling alley, we were just eating there. That same weekend my Grandfather passed away. The funeral was last Tuesday. It went so crazy fast that I still don't think I've processed it all. I feel like I barely saw my dad. Anyway, this past weekend Tom and I took a Babymoon up to a Resort and Spa in Wisconsin. We both got massages and I got a Mani/Pedi. I thought Tom would go back to the hotel because he didn't want to do any other services but I found out he just hung out in the guy's locker cause there was a hot tub, steam room, showers, and a flat screen tv. Geesh, the women's locker didn't have a flat screen. He must of enjoyed it. We also had the best prime rib ever at the hotel for dinner. Yum. Ach, so much more detail I could write but...alas...

2005 Mercury Mariner Premier. No more Grandma boat, WooHoo!!! (While this isn't technically our car, it is what we bought. It's dark when I get home. I can't take a picture in the dark).

It's pretty much a Ford Escape with more options since it's a Mercury. It's 4WD with a V6 engine, an awesome two toned interior, sunroof, 6 cd changer, and my favorite feature, heated seats, ahhh. Fun, fun, fun.

BOY!!! Yea, no forth coming dread of pink clothing. I love little boys clothes!! Plus, the camo bib and Pioneer onesie he got for Christmas fit much better with a boy. The ultrasound was awesome. He had the hiccups. Poor little guy. Everything looked good. His estimated weight was 12 ounces and I am still on track for May 12th. We are soooo excited. Now if we can just agree on a boy's name...

So having a full time job where you spend all your time at a computer does not lend well to updating a blog frequently. The last thing I want to do when I get home is get on the computer. Anyway, on to baby news...

On Friday night, I finally felt the baby move. In fact, the little alien is moving right now as I type this. It feels different every time. Sometimes it's like a flutter or feels like I am really nervous. Other times it's like somethings is gently pushing my tummy from the inside. Right now it feels a bit stronger than a gentle push. Darn it.

Tomorrow is our ultrasound. So I hope to have more exciting news by then, besides alien PG freaking me out.

Tom hates that I refer to it as an alien.

My dad's side of the family met on Sunday and all 26 of us were there at one point or another. We were a little late since it took us an hour longer to drive home because of the slushy roads. Kyle's gift, the tshirt he's wearing, was the funniest. I stole a foot massager in the gift exchange and managed to hold on to it. I think they just felt sorry for the pregnant lady.



Then Christmas morning was at Mom and Dad's. Breakfast was so yummy. We are probably the only family who spent the majority of their table conversation quoting Christmas movies to each other. No wonder I am crazy about movies. Lots of fun gifts and a treasure hunt later, we spent the afternoon playing pitch, SceneIt 2nd Ed, and watching Tom lose Kyle's new helicopter to the field across the road. Oops.

Christmas night we ate with Tom's parents and plan on celebrating with that family sometime in January. I was thankful we didn't have the normal 45 family Christmas' to attend in a weekend.

Finally, the fun gingerbread house Kyle and I made complete with attic ventilation. We didn't eat it though because the candy tasted horrible...

Lots of goodies. The two newbies I recognize as Oppum from Saving Private Ryan and the guy from Xmen 3 with the spikes that come out of his face. Did you notice at the end where the reflection of the island in the water is actually a city skyline?

SWEET!!!! The Hobbit will be PRODUCED by Peter Jackson. Well, that's tons better than not being involved at all. Apparently there will be two movies. Not quite sure about how that will work, but they have to squeeze every penny out of the franchise, don't they. Please read the article here. So who wants to babysit so I can go to the midnight showings in 2010 and 2011? Any volunteers?
