BOY!!! Yea, no forth coming dread of pink clothing. I love little boys clothes!! Plus, the camo bib and Pioneer onesie he got for Christmas fit much better with a boy. The ultrasound was awesome. He had the hiccups. Poor little guy. Everything looked good. His estimated weight was 12 ounces and I am still on track for May 12th. We are soooo excited. Now if we can just agree on a boy's name...

This is from ABC's website. The narration is hilarious. The best line is "Mr. Friendly throws like a girl."

So having a full time job where you spend all your time at a computer does not lend well to updating a blog frequently. The last thing I want to do when I get home is get on the computer. Anyway, on to baby news...

On Friday night, I finally felt the baby move. In fact, the little alien is moving right now as I type this. It feels different every time. Sometimes it's like a flutter or feels like I am really nervous. Other times it's like somethings is gently pushing my tummy from the inside. Right now it feels a bit stronger than a gentle push. Darn it.

Tomorrow is our ultrasound. So I hope to have more exciting news by then, besides alien PG freaking me out.

Tom hates that I refer to it as an alien.

My dad's side of the family met on Sunday and all 26 of us were there at one point or another. We were a little late since it took us an hour longer to drive home because of the slushy roads. Kyle's gift, the tshirt he's wearing, was the funniest. I stole a foot massager in the gift exchange and managed to hold on to it. I think they just felt sorry for the pregnant lady.

Then Christmas morning was at Mom and Dad's. Breakfast was so yummy. We are probably the only family who spent the majority of their table conversation quoting Christmas movies to each other. No wonder I am crazy about movies. Lots of fun gifts and a treasure hunt later, we spent the afternoon playing pitch, SceneIt 2nd Ed, and watching Tom lose Kyle's new helicopter to the field across the road. Oops.

Christmas night we ate with Tom's parents and plan on celebrating with that family sometime in January. I was thankful we didn't have the normal 45 family Christmas' to attend in a weekend.

Finally, the fun gingerbread house Kyle and I made complete with attic ventilation. We didn't eat it though because the candy tasted horrible...

Lots of goodies. The two newbies I recognize as Oppum from Saving Private Ryan and the guy from Xmen 3 with the spikes that come out of his face. Did you notice at the end where the reflection of the island in the water is actually a city skyline?

SWEET!!!! The Hobbit will be PRODUCED by Peter Jackson. Well, that's tons better than not being involved at all. Apparently there will be two movies. Not quite sure about how that will work, but they have to squeeze every penny out of the franchise, don't they. Please read the article here. So who wants to babysit so I can go to the midnight showings in 2010 and 2011? Any volunteers?

Please also enjoys this Rings referencing Fox Trot from Sunday.

Ahh, I have been searching for this clip for like 2 years! I finally found it.

Ok, if you want to see the actual Cloverfield trailer, head here.

Fan created, it's a shame it's not something you can purchase.

Well, I admit it. I was rather excited about this movie. It looked like a fun fantasy in the vein of Lord of the Rings and Narnia. A cute little girl with a animal soul (daemon) who tries to uncover the mystery of vanishing kids, the magisterium, etc... Well, it's a lot more complex than that. This is what I get for being obsessed with movies. Something about how the story from the books is essentially killing God and they were written by an atheist in direct response to the Narnia series and his hatred for that series. Anyway, for a good summary on the whole thing, please see this article. And by the way, do NOT click on the link to the fox news story unless you want the movie ruined for you. Thanks a lot stupid fox news. I am thinking I would still like to see the movie, but I am definately deterred from ever reading the books after all this. I was almost thinking about it.

Last Friday we went to the doctor and heard the heartbeat, which was amazing. They said not to get our hopes up at 11 weeks but somehow the doctor found it. I also found this awesome shirt at Think Geek. What do you think? Too bizarre or fits with the insane person you know me to be? Also, this is totally my little boy's costume for Halloween next year (if it's a boy, don't think I could get away with it if it's a girl).

18. PG, the crazy offspring of these two, May 2008

Val called the baby PG after I told her I was pregnant by saying that I had a parasitic growth in my abdomen. So I am due May 12th. I've thrown up twice, but otherwise seem ok.

I know Madalyn is sideways and Trevor is rather small but it's late and I want to sleep. Also, I am sorry if I got any of the dates wrong. But sometimes I guessed, geesh there's 17 of you... Give a girl a break.

So my trip out to the state of Washington was crazy fun. Number one, I got to see my friend. Number two, I got to see neat places. Number three, I got to travel on an airplane. We went to the Naval Base, a Fort/Lighthouse, Coupville Wharf, a Cider Press, Deception Pass. I saw Seattle at night and during the day. The skyline is awesome at night. Plus Mountains, and cliffs and trees and even a couple seals. In addition, I introduced my friends to the Vicar of Dibley which they loved as everyone should. Enjoy my numerous pictures below. My camera takes lots of blurry pics so I tried not to include too many of those but sometimes it's inevitable.

Some Admiral's lighthouse, I don't remember...

Cool picture of the crazy stairs up into the top of the lighthouse.

View from the back of the lighthouse.

Ferry Boat!!!

Sign I thought was hilarious.

The only picture I got of the whole family...Ha. By the way, the baby in the seat is fake. Poor Val was reprimanded twice by complete strangers over her treatment of fake Big Baby.

Coupeville Wharf

I was really taking a picture of the boat, but caught a Seal instead (that black thing coming out of the water).

Just a neat picture.

Val and myself in front of Knead and Feed where Practical Magic was filmed.

Blurry Abbie, Abbie, Abbie..

The Cider Press

Andy masterfully cooking four hot dogs

Carolyn and Kelly the Lab...Awww

Deception Pass
Every picture from here turned out blurry but I liked this one anyway.
