Way back in April, Tom and I and my parents saw Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra at the Peoria Civic Center. He plays the violin and with the orchestra, they give concerts featuring music from around the world. He's from Holland and has a fun accent. He's a little silly, kept saying how he loved Peoria. Ya, right... He's featured on PBS a lot and somehow both Tom and I have come to really enjoy his shows, so it was a treat to get to see him in concert. They played classical music, opera with three tenors and a couple sopranos, musical music, movie music, folk music, all sorts. The opera was the neatest for me since I have never been to the opera. I loved hearing "Nessun Dorma" from Turandot in concert. It was awesome. Of course I cried several times, music does that to me, especially with the pregnacy hormones coursing through me. :) Lots of fun but too many encores. I swear there were like seven. Three should be the limit, seriously...

So enjoy Strauss' "The Blue Danube" with Andre Rieu... As in the video, people got up and danced to the waltzes at our concert. How fun. There was even a conga line at one point, not during the waltzes mind you, but during an appriopriate number with a Spanish flair...

We went in for Ethan's one month checkup Tuesday. He now weighs 10 lbs 15 oz. We also got some more ideas for curbing the spit up, we'll see.

Tom is upstairs right now attempting to give him his first bottle. Hope it goes well. He also surprised me by rolling over this morning. I think it was a fluke but we'll see. He was on his tummy and he was really pushing up on his arms then all of a sudden he was on his back. I have a after picture but the camera is being stupid at the moment. Hope to add it later.

Until then enjoy more sleepy buddies. It's creepy, they are almost mirror images of each other, except for their head position.

You can see Tom's enthusiasm.

Ethan was a little more excited.

Whoo hoo, Great Grandma!

Visit home in my "Wee Lee" onesie courtesy of Val. ;)

We also went to the Saint Augustine Catholic Church Summer Ice Cream Social, one of my favorites. Homemade Ice Cream and Pie, yum. I cheated and had some Ice Cream even though I am trying to curb my dariy.

Here's how Ethan enjoyed the Summer Social.

We ate with my Uncle Dave, Aunt Jeanne, and cousin Sam.

Great Aunt Jeanne and Ethan.

The boys buying raffle tickets. Uncle Dave commented that we should just duct tape the pacifier onto his mouth. I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

We visited with Aunt Linda, Lisa, Matthew, and Pierce and Grandma and Grandpa Lee.

Great Aunt Linda and Ethan.

Pierce and Ethan. He was infatuated with the baby. It was so cute.

Grandpa Lee and Ethan.

We visited my Grandma Underwood so she could meet Ethan and to get a four generation picture.

We had a picnic lunch today. On a Wednesday!! That probably won't happen again until I'm on my next maternity leave. Anyway, it was perfect because it wasn't too hot and there was a nice breeze. There were bugs though and I totally forgot insect repellent. Oh well. Enjoy the photos.

Sunday, we had a full house. Grandpa and Grandma Lee came for a visit.

Uncle Kyle met Ethan for the first time.

Grandma Underwood tagged along too.

And Gidget provided endless entertainment.
