We went to Tom's brother's place on the day. Lots of food, lots of dogs, and lots of fun. On Friday, my parents came up for lunch and we got to see the movie "Four Christmases." Then, Sat and Sun, I spent 21 hours working. Lots of fun, not really, but now I am done with that. THANK GOODNESS!!!! Only took 3 years...

We went home for 1st season obviously and were successful so no 2nd season for us. YAY. Anyway, lots of visiting while we were home.

Ethan had some fun with a new book.

My family has no issue with him following in his daddy's footsteps, apparently.

And the kill. I was so mad because I got a better picture but it was corrupted when the camera died soon after taking it. Grr.

Oh boy, a yummy turkey!

Hmm, how can I sneak this into my crib without them noticing?

One random cute pic for good measure.

He's all cute here but he's really just a bully. See below.

Pinching Dad.

Bonking Mom in the nose.

Mom trying to create the same expression, close, but not quite.

Cuddly sleeper.

Awwww.

Ewwww.

Scary Dad.

Mom has fun fingers.

This is what happens when I try to work.

Blockbuster sent me this movie yesterday. Apparently, it was on my list. I've got a lot of older movies in my 100+ queue line up. I get in moods where I want to see every movie I've heard of that sounds even remotely interesting and I go click happy to my queue. Pretty much all I knew about this flick was that it starred Marilyn Monroe and it featured the song "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend." Well, imagine my surprise when Marilyn's character was named Lorelei Lee. Ok, not exact but pretty close. She played the stereotypical dumb blond gold digger, or did she? At first, I thought the character was embarrassing, but the more I saw the more I realized she was actually pretty smart. It shocked the crap out of me. Not the greatest movie, but interesting enough. Last week they sent me 2001: A Space Odyssey. Tom and I both decided that you have to be on acid to think that movie is not boring. Man, does it drag. I could have watched the interesting parts in about 15 minutes. At least, I now understand the quote, "Open the pod bay doors, HAL."

I won. I won. I won. Maybe it's a bowling alley.... No, no, no. I won free movie swag from Cinematical.com in their "Insert Caption" contest. I created what I thought was mediocre caption to a still photo from the movie, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. Apparently, it was the third funniest. So I get to add to my free movie memorabilia collection which already includes a cryptex from The DaVinci Code (See Here and Here) and film from Lord of the Rings. (It's funny that in my cryptex post I wonder about what I will obtain in the future, only took 2.5 years ;). Anyway, I won a soundtrack to the movie (Madagascar 2), 3 stuffed animals (a score for Ethan), a flash drive for my computer, and a poster signed by the cast (Sweetness). If you don't know who's in the cast, the four main characters are Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer (Ross from Friends), Jada Pinkett Smith (Mrs. Will Smith), and Chris Rock. I will put pics up as soon as I get my swag.

So check out my winning submission at Cinematical.com and hopefully it will be less than 2.5 years for more free movie stuff. ;)

With a 3 hour premiere. Well, 2 technically. The first hour is a recap episode, but those help me remember all the stuff I've forgotten in this densely packed show. Tom groaned when I told him it was 3 hours. Hee hee.
