I saw this film last week. It was pretty good. Not life shattering, but it definitely made some valid points. As a kind of very shallow review, it championed Charter Schools and made the Teacher's Unions out as the bad guys.
I suppose the thing that caught me was their argument that school system hasn't really changed since the 50's or so when we were at the top as a nation, but that's not the case anymore. Back then, you could get a well paying job with just a high school education. That is really not true anymore, so maybe we should be preparing EVERY student for college. Not pigeon-holing them on some "track" designated by test scores. (Of course I was on the "gifted" track in my high school so what do I know, or maybe I do know.... Who knows?).
