So I was reading the forecast discussion at the National Weather Service website as one is wont to do. One of the sentences today reads "CLOUDS SHOULD BE ONLY A TEMPORARY MORNING PHENOMENON TODAY." My first thought was: "Yipee! Our vendor can fly some of our aerial flyover today for work." (Can you tell I really, really want new aerial photos? :) My second thought was: "I've never considered clouds a phenomenon. They seem pretty normal to me." So I used my handy dandy friend, the internet, to do a little research. So I've discovered it can mean any observable event no matter how commonplace or an extraordinary event. How confusing... It's also one of those words with multiple plural forms as in phenomena or phenomenons. Don't you just love the English language.

I don't know why but I find it fascinating to see where/how a package got to little old me. Take for instance, the package I am receiving today: It started in China -> Hong Kong -> Anchorage, AK -> Indianapolis, IN -> Cedar Rapids, IA -> Moline, IL -> Currently on a truck making it's way to ME. :)
